Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens

Situated on the slopes of Table Mountain, just 13km outside Cape Town, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens is home to over 2500 species of plants, and part of the Cape Floristic region. The Cape Floristic region or Floral Kingdom as it also known is one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, spanning across 90 000sq km, with plants that can’t be found anywhere else in the world.
